  • Manufacturing enterprises having investment less than Rs. 25 lakhs in plant and machinery.
  • Service enterprises having less than Rs. 10 lakhs invested in Plant & Machinery are considered as Micro Entities.


  • Manufacturing enterprises having investment between Rs. 25 lakhs to Rs. 5 crores in plant and machinery.
  • Service enterprises having investment between Rs. 10 lakhs and Rs. 2 crores.


  • Manufacturing enterprises having investment in plant and machinery between Rs. 5 crore to Rs. 10 crores.
  • In case, if it is  Service enterprise, the range is between Rs. 2 crores to Rs. 5 crores.


Few doubts important to be resolved quickly

No, Udyam Registration is a fully online process as all the documents and information are to be filed electronically on Udyog Aadhaar portal. So, your physical presence is not required at all.

No, Udyam registration is not compulsory but it is highly recommended to get registered under MSME to avail various government subsidies and incentives.

First of all, Provisional Registration Certificate is to be issued which is  valid for a period of 5 years. After the end of 5 years period, you can apply for Final Registration.

Banks always preferred  Udyam Registered entities over normal enterprises. Some other benefits are:

  • Low Interest rates on bank loan.
  • Preferential treatment in case of delay in repayment.
  • Other government subsidies Bank loan, etc.
